Engineering documentation for oil & gas projects.

Electrical drafting, hazardous-area classification, heat tracing, and BIM modeling across upstream, midstream, and downstream. NEC, API, and IEC compliant. Gulf Coast EPC-ready.

NEC Art. 500 / 505 API RP 500 / 505 IEEE 515 Heat Tracing IEC 60079 SmartPlant Ready
§01 — Overview

O&G projects fail on drawings before they fail on welds.

Missed hazardous-area classifications. Wrong heat-tracing circuit calculations. Cable schedules that disagree with isometrics. Every error surfaces in construction and costs weeks.

We produce electrical documentation for upstream wellhead facilities, midstream pipeline compression, and downstream refineries and LNG export terminals. Every deliverable QA'd against NEC Art. 500/505, API RP 500/505, and IEEE 515 as applicable.

  • Gulf Coast EPC subcontractor workflows supported
  • API RP 500/505 hazardous-area classification specialists
  • IEEE 515 heat tracing (pipeline + process)
  • First drawing free for new oil & gas clients

§02 — What We Produce

Documentation types for oil & gas projects

Hazardous Area Classification

NEC Art. 500/505 and API RP 500/505 compliant classification drawings, equipment schedules, cable routing plans.

Heat Tracing (IEEE 515)

Heat tracing circuit schedules, control panel documentation, temperature-maintenance calculations for pipelines and process heating.

Single-Line & Protection

Complete SLDs for process facilities: 13.8/4.16 kV / 480 V utility and distribution with protection coordination.

Cable & Raceway

Cable schedules, tray routing, segregation plans, and conduit schedules for multi-discipline process facilities.

Substation & Switchgear

13.8/4.16 kV substation and switchgear documentation including protection schemes and control schematics.

Plant 3D / SmartPlant Coordination

Electrical model coordination with piping and structural disciplines in AVEVA E3D / SmartPlant environments.

§03 — Oil & Gas FAQ

Questions O&G engineering managers ask us

Do you handle API hazardous-area classification?
Yes. API RP 500 and API RP 505 compliant classification drawings, equipment schedules, and installation documentation for Class I Division 1/2 and Zone 0/1/2 environments typical in petroleum facilities. We coordinate with your HAZOP outputs and P&IDs.
Do you cover upstream, midstream, and downstream?
Yes. Wellhead and surface facility documentation for upstream; pipeline stations and compressor stations for midstream; refinery and petrochemical plant documentation for downstream. Each has specific code and operator standards we maintain libraries for.
Can you support LNG export terminal projects?
Yes. LNG electrical documentation including cryogenic heat tracing, low-temperature cable selection, and cold-climate equipment specification per IEEE 515 and relevant LNG standards.
Do you work with major EPCs on O&G projects?
Yes. We regularly support major EPC subcontractor workflows. Standard flow-down NDAs, IP clauses, and deliverable ownership apply; we work under the EPC's title block as part of their deliverable.

Your next O&G project doesn't need more drafting hires.
