A useful first conversation is about the package: what you need, what information is available and who reviews the result. These are the questions to settle before work starts.

What should we send for a first conversation?
The project type, drawing register or deliverables list, applicable standard, engineering software and target issue date. Keep confidential source files back until the NDA and file-sharing arrangements are agreed.
What is included in the design scope?
The scope can include developing layouts, schedules and schematics from your engineering inputs, as well as drafting and coordination. We agree the design basis, calculations, review responsibilities and any engineer-of-record or statutory sign-off requirement before work starts.
What happens when an input is missing or documents disagree?
The drawing reference and the question need to be made clear so your team can resolve them. We agree how technical queries are recorded and closed, rather than silently choosing an assumption that could affect the rest of the package.
Can you take over a package that is already in progress?
We first review the current drawing register, issue status and outstanding mark-ups with you. That establishes which revision is the baseline and what needs to be changed before we agree the production scope.
Can you use our title blocks and libraries?
Yes. Include your title blocks, symbols, layer conventions and required file formats in the brief. For BIM work, include the BIM Execution Plan, coordinate system, naming convention and model-exchange requirements.
How do you agree the programme and price?
We look at the source information, drawing types, checking effort, interfaces and review rounds before proposing a scope. Fixed packages and managed production support can suit different projects. Delivery dates and revision windows are agreed in the proposal.
Can you provide a PE, RPEQ or Chartered sign-off?
Tell us what certification or statutory sign-off the package requires. We agree who is responsible for it and what review is needed before production starts. A drafting or modelling engagement does not, by itself, appoint an engineer of record.
Where is the team and how does the time difference work?
Production is based in Pakistan, on UTC+5, with US-based client coordination. We agree working hours and handover arrangements for the project. Australian teams can plan an afternoon overlap; US teams can plan an overnight handover where it suits the review programme.
What do we receive at handover?
The source files, PDF set and revision information specified in the scope. Agree the drawing register, naming convention and issue status at the start so the package can enter your document-control process.
Can we start with a small, defined package?
Yes. A limited package can help both teams establish the templates, inputs and review process before committing to a larger scope. The deliverables, price and review allowance are agreed first.
