Industrial PV documentation: keep the interfaces together.

An illustrative documentation workflow for adding PV generation to an existing industrial electrical system. It describes package coordination, not a measured client outcome.

Package overview

Coordinate the PV drawings with the site single-line, distribution equipment references, cable schedules and engineering review requirements. This example is illustrative; no package count, pass rate or delivery result is claimed.

Start at the connection point

Identify where the proposed generation connects to the existing system. Record the source drawings, equipment information, design assumptions and missing inputs before drafting begins.

Follow the references through the package

Equipment tags, cable references and revision status should agree across layouts, single-lines and schedules. Changes to an inverter or feeder need to be reviewed against the affected documents.

Separate documentation and approval responsibilities

Agree who supplies the calculations, protection settings, utility requirements and statutory review. Drawing production uses those engineering inputs; it does not replace their approval.

Prepare a reviewable handover

Issue the agreed source files and PDFs with a drawing register, query log and revision information. Record unresolved inputs so the next reviewer can see what still needs a decision.
